Avonmouth Primary School joined Avon Schools Nature Reserve in the early summer of 2023. They had the generous assistance of volunteers from Nisbet’s to prepare the ground in holiday time. Students and teachers from the school enjoyed a whole school assembly featuring butterflies and ducklings – part of the food web that a wildflower meadow might support. For the rest of the day, classes came to seed and plant the wildflower meadow as well as learn about the biodiversity impact they could have.

Can you imagine how much will power it would take not to chase a run away football straight across the meadow?
